If my daughter didn't like the Magic Garden line (we have 7) and I was in a rush to get a present, I would Return the chest with the Council to light it. This chest is a nightmare! The surface design (which the child perceives) is more than endearing. But for the mother who paid for it, this chest is beyond disappointing. There is no quality control on this chest! When I opened the box, I found that the entire surface was covered in a film of dirt that needed cleaning and sterilizing. During assembly, I told myself to temporarily ignore cracked wood and chipped paint and eventually touch them up, including the front of the lid, which is missing large chunks of paint. Window. The back that holds the braces wasn't done right so the braces didn't fit. I had to cut into the wood to allow the brackets to be installed. (see photo) WHAT THE FUCK!?!? WHO AUTHORIZED THIS?!?! For the price I paid for this chest, it's just annoying. Fantasy Fields usually offers quality and charming items, but this one sucks.
