Simply put, $100 down the drain

I purchased this unit about a month ago in anticipation of a long 8 hour drive in my rental car. I knew most rental cars didn't have CD players anymore, so I bought this car before my vacation. The day before I left, I climbed into my rented Buick and spent the next 60 minutes agonizing over this awful car. I've literally tried 10 different CDs in that hour and they all play perfectly in my own car CD player and home stereo CD player. All but one appeared in the viewing window of this disposable device. Almost everyone shows "DISK" and nothing else. You will not practice and play. When I turned on the FM EQ to sync to a station that wasn't being used in my area, the FM EQ button turned itself on for the few moments I actually had a disc to play on this dismal thing seemed not tuned to the station. Nothing has happened. As I said, only once - ONE TIME total - in 60 minutes did I have a brief moment of paradise when a disc was on and playing and the FM EQ was synced to the transmitter and I heard the music through the car. Stereo. The remaining 59 minutes of fiddling with this compact piece of junk had me cursing this company and anyone making that pathetic apology for the "Player" CD. My sincere advice is don't waste your money. I was full for my $100. At least I had a few seconds of fun throwing this "office space" style piece of shit into a nearby ravine near my house and yelling obscenities as it flew toward its crushing destruction.
