I bought these KORE AVIATION gel seals to use as a headphone replacement with my TASCAM TH-02. The TASCAM speaker range was very wide, so I had to work on that a bit. I was afraid that the plastic backing would stretch or the lining would rip completely. Not at all; These ear pads can be stretched to fit the entire ear of the TASCAM headset. In total I stretched them about ten times. You'd think these seals would work fine on the TASCAM TH-02, but in reality they're just decent. Before stretching, I had to tape the fabric to it with double-sided tape. After an hour of decent listening I had to put them back on my ears. The gel nature will extend the warmth of my head and the volume of air will flow into the pads. After 5 minutes they cooled down again. After two hours of listening, my above average ears started to hurt. The distance between the headphone body and the pillow changed it from closed to semi-open headphones. Oddly enough, the leak was noisy in one room, but the type of rubber seal was tight. It might come as a shock, but closed-back headphones aren't completely sealed; They require a small amount of air to flow through the body to allow precise movement of the diaphragm. That's why many closed headphones cover the air gap with a fabric, such as leather, or let the sound flow freely with velor. I recommend purchasing leather, genuine leather, polyurethane ear pads, or velor ear pads to use with the earbuds. However, I will keep these earbuds in case my protective earbuds break. Maybe I'll take the in-ear headphones and try using them with these sleeping pads. That's an idea.
