I was hit hard in the face (between the eye and temple) with a cucumber by my PARTNER who was only 2-3 feet away from me. The ball hit my glasses, the rubber bumper absorbed most of the impact. I had a small cut on my nose because the rubber hit me so hard. My eyes were fine! These glasses paid off that day! The glasses would have come off my face, they were strapped on, THE LENSES WERE LOCKED IN (to prevent fogging) and my eyes were fine.
