Bought to replace the factory bose coax cables in the back door of my Denali. What a huge difference in overall sound quality. Hooked them up to Infinity components in the front doors and they all run off a factory head unit and Bose amp. The minimal speaker cables have been shortened and adapters (sold separately) used, making installation easy and clean. A single cutout was made for the tweeters located in the A-pillars. I insulated the connectors with shrink wrap (probably too much), but only to protect from the elements. Although the rear doors fit a 5.25", I bought a 6.5" and made a slight modification to the stock bracket body and they fitted perfectly. Actually, there is no need to buy mounting brackets, just make a slight modification to the bracket. The addition of an aftermarket subwoofer, amp and head unit soon will really make a difference! I didn't use a soundproofing mat, but the sound is still good.
