Review on Pirelli Ice Zero FR 235/65 R17 108H winter by Adam Kulesza ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

It's the best purchase I ever made, I will definitely do it again.

The tires were bought to replace the 6-year-old Haka R. I chose tires considering that 100% of trips in Hong Kong, where the roads are mostly cleaned and mostly driving in slush. In general, the tires are no worse than the vaunted Khaki. I have been driving since mid-October, i. E. almost 4 months. Because managed to visit all types of roads. Japanese class B hatchback. 1. Clean asphalt at +10 - no problems, it doesn't float, it rides like a summer Michelin. 2. Wet asphalt, rain, plus temperature - no problems, no aquaplaning. 3. Slush, water with snow, no problems, rowing is excellent. 4. Snow - rowing normally. And earlier, on Jake, he often could not call into the uncleaned parking lot "herringbone", he usually sat on his belly. I stop at Pirelli, at least it worked. 5. Pure ice - here you have to be careful. Once it turned out to be the front wheels on a frozen puddle - it barely left, there was no adhesion to the ice. Another time, in a snowfall at a speed of 20 km / h, he began to slowly slow down in front of a speed bump - abs started working, and the car was not slowing down, as if it was floating . it’s good that there was a low speed and there was no one ahead. Under the snow was pure rolled ice. I would not consider the behavior of these tires on ice as a disadvantage, after all, these are not spikes . although in my subjective opinion, Haka R was more tenacious in this regard. But just keep in mind that miracles from these tires on ice should not be expected. After the end of the winter season 2022/2022, I add a review: And so, following the results of the past winter, I can say that the tires are suitable only for large cities with well-cleaned roads from ice. Pure ice and ice under snow - these tires are contraindicated! No grip! I understand that these are not spikes. But when I drive through an icy yard at a speed of 10 km / h, while the car sways from side to side, the backside walks like a tail, what do you think about how not to hook parked cars . well, I don’t know. Haka did not allow herself such a thing. It's more like rubber for the European winter. I'm thinking of changing it next year, if possible.

Pros
  • They behave well at any temperature and on all types of surface, except for pure ice and ice under snow.
Cons
  • None on clear ice and ice under snow.
