3000k should be more common.

Ordered 3000k for shared living room, dining room, kitchen as I didn't care how yellow a 2700k color could be. It's the right color for places where you want to feel "warm" and "at home," but not as white as 4000k, which is probably better for the office, and especially 5,000k, which is something like the Yankee Stage is.* Those 9W bulbs were probably spot on, although I think you get a little more visibility with the slightly less yellowish 3000k too. So in the future I'd like to test a 6W or 7W version once the 3000k becomes more popular (hopefully it will). These were the cheapest (18 pieces) lamps of this type and color that I have found. Bought. A friend literally walked in, covered his eyes and said it was like the lights on Yankee Stadium. Also, do not buy high-wattage household bulbs, as this is not necessary. At this point, at night, with the curtains drawn, our house looked like a large Batman signal light emitting light. In the future we will update how long they last and how they have held up in multiple cases.
