Review on πŸ₯¦ ExcelSteel Stainless Steel Fine Mesh Colander Set - Dishwasher Safe 3 Piece Strainer for Vegetables, Fruits - Includes 8”, 9”, 10” Sizes with Resting Base by Paul Romero

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Excellent screens. Just wish more difference between the sizes.

I love these Colanders. Good price, no plastic parts. I prefer mesh over perforated - I don't like the feel of perforations. I use the dishwasher to wash. No rust. But the dimensions are not exact. I use them for rinsing rice, wild rice, straining vegetables, etc. I've washed them in the dishwasher a few times (Bosch). They hold up great (I use a fast 30 minute cycle and it doesn't take too long to heat up. The product description doesn't say anything about a dishwasher so I'm taking the risk. I have a feeling they can probably handle it more normal/ automatic cycle no problem, but I haven't tried it yet). The gauge of the wire mesh is exactly what I expected, it feels strong but still pliable. So I try not to bump or break them, but unless it's a sharp bend or hole, you can probably "reform" it to make it look good enough. Mine still look great as you can see in the photos taken after a few uses in the dishwasher. I should mention that the two smaller ones don't have much of a difference in size, which is the only downside for me. I wish they would make the smallest one smaller because I currently have 2 almost the same size (admittedly the most useful size, lol). Greatest Big One, as I was hoping, will use it to sift after making a broth. This size issue is not a deciding factor for me, so I still give them 5 stars. You can also use it to rinse quinoa. 99% stays in a sieve. Tiny pieces, fragments may fly out if you keep shaking. I think it's even less likely to escape if the quinoa is wet. Edit: I uploaded my photos in a specific order - group photo, then 8", then 9", 10", etc, but the Revain system or someone behind it was messing around to confuse the customers.
