Review on KidKraft 65878 Storybook Mansion Toy by Nhyiraba Wilson

Not bad for the price. But my daughter likes it, so what's the difference!

Took about 2 hours to assemble. The instructions are clear with simple pictures, every detail is labeled and all you need is a screwdriver. Several times I sat and scratched the back of my head trying to figure out what the instructions said, but it all fell into place in the end. Each room is well decorated with enough furniture to fill most of the rooms. My daughter loves it and that's enough for me. However, this dollhouse has several disadvantages. Each part is marked with a sticker, but these stickers are difficult to remove. It's like those tamper evident price tags that fall apart and leave a sticky mess when you try to take them off. Luckily most of the decals have been placed so they don't face the front of the dollhouse and they are relatively small. Some parts didn't quite fit together and I had to tweak them to make them work. That's about the quality I expected given the price and manufacturer origin. But overall it's pretty solid, doesn't wobble or feel brittle after assembly. The base is narrow so I attached it to the wall with a strap provided by the manufacturer. The dollhouse weighs about 40 pounds. I don't want it crushing my baby when it pulls on it. Some of the plastic gems fell off pieces of furniture during the shipping process and I had to search the box and styrofoam to find them. It looks like something like a hot glue gun was originally used to attach them. It was an easy repair with a more appropriate adhesive, although it was annoying to have to do.
