I wanted a dim lamp for a room in the house that is very dark at night. This works very well. It is unique, has 4 brightness levels to choose from, has 4 or 5 different colors and has a remote control. But the main reason I like it so much is that I can put it on a timer and it will turn on in the same position it was turned off. Some of these multi-light/multi-bright lamps need to be reset every time. it runs. They are not timed on after being turned off as they remain in the off position regardless of the timer. I didn't understand all this when I ordered. I ordered 2 different bulbs and the other one doesn't have a timer. This lamp works on a timer and stays in the same position as me. I am very happy with it.
