This device has freed me from TiVo forever! I've had an HDHomeRun Prime since June 2017 and every day I'm more amazed at what I can do with the thing. Combine this with Plex and you have a serious way to DVR and view your content, but you can also stream live to any other Plex client with the HDHRViewer plugin! Including on your phone. From anywhere in the world! This is amazing stuff! Works great with Comcast CableCARDs. However, these things are not entirely ideal. DRM support is coming for everything else except WMC (which I won't get into) but hasn't arrived yet. Yes, that means no HBO. For now. HBO Go is working to bridge this gap. Also, these things are very sensitive to fluctuations in signal quality and power, and are also susceptible to many of the problems caused by bad splitters and coax cables. If you have one of those (bad) cables or splitters, you'll know as soon as you try to install the box. Trust me on that. All in all it's a solid little box and I have no intention of ever going back to TiVo now that I have the options this and Plex offer! And on top of that, no monthly TiVo subscription fee! Ignore people who write idiotic one-star reviews because they were too busy buying this thing without doing some thorough research first and get themselves in trouble for it. There are many of them here. If you follow the instructions well enough and can physically plug this in, you shouldn't have any problems. Just make sure you do your research first and see if it works in your setup!
