Some reasons not to buy

In theory, this product is great! Practically not so much.1. After removing the frozen sticks, a greasy residue remains on the tray. This tells me it is getting deposited in the milk and therefore a very important nutrient/part of the milk is not getting to my baby.2. It is difficult to put the tray in the freezer. I don't have a freezer drawer so I can't do what someone suggested and pour the milk into the tray if it's already in the freezer. To keep the tray in the freezer so the milk doesn't spill over, I put less milk in each bar so my milk sticks wouldn't weigh 1 ounce each.3. Fully filled frozen milk sticks take much longer to thaw than a bag of milk. Since they are relatively thick and I put the sticks in a bottle to put them in a bottle warmer, they take a very long time to thaw. For this reason and reason #2 above, I put way less milk in each box. This makes the sticks brittle and easier to break when moving them from the bowl to the bag I keep them in. It's not a big problem, but it makes storage less tidy and makes it harder to determine ounces. You can break the chopsticks into pieces to put in a bottle to put in a warmer, but that means you'll be working with milk quite a bit, which I'd rather avoid. 4. As others have said, they can only be hand washed. They aren't difficult to wash but I'm not sure how clean and germ free they are as I can't even wash them in the dishwasher. In general, I would recommend simply putting less milk in more bags. I'm going back to packaging milk in 1-2 ounce increments.
