I bought these shoes at first because the Japanese style goes well with many of my African outfits. Shoes for 8 months so I've had several occasions to wear them. First, they are comfortable and lightweight. It feels like you have no shoes on and you are as light as a feather, like slippers. I was concerned about the stretch material and the sole of the shoe but so far after 8 months they are holding up very well with no tearing, shoe warping or anything like that. Well with everything I said above I am giving these shoes 4 stars and not 5 because in order to make these shoes supple, flexible and lightweight the manufacturer had to SIGNIFICANTLY compromise in the construction of these shoes by reducing the number of insoles ! Although the shoes are comfortable, they can rub against your feet when you plan to walk the city streets for hours. This shoe is also unforgiving of rough dirt (such as nature trails) or uneven asphalt surfaces with those small black pebbles. I felt the stones dig into my feet. So the DECISION was to get a pair of Dr. Scholl's work. PERSON! These inserts fit snugly into these boots (you can trim them if you want) and make my feet feel soft and they feel even more comfortable now. Because these shoes are elastic and flexible, you can use these insoles without squeezing your feet. With these insoles, it goes really well with the black Furoshiki Vibram men's sneakers. So I can now walk longer and better through the streets of the city even in rough terrain, as I noticed. So these shoes are HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! I also recommend buying the shoes with Dr. Scholl's Insole Sholl if you feel your feet get tired on certain treads.
