Believe the negative reviews! Not only do the knives wobble and not sit securely in this holder, my paring knife literally flew out and fell on the floor, missing my toe by less than an inch. After that I tried to fill it with rice (difficult task as neither top nor bottom can be removed) hoping this would help to keep the knives securely in place. Unfortunately, all that was done was to make it difficult to fully deploy the long knives and didn't help stabilize either knife by one iota. It would be too awkward for me to return it or I would. In any case, I recommend finding another type of holder, or if you go for this one, don't put short-bladed knives in it if you're going to take care of your toes.
