I live in Florida where hurricanes are just a part of life in this state. I needed a portable air conditioner that would cool a small room when connected to a portable generator. This device was a brand I had never heard of from China before. It had decent reviews so I decided to take a chance. About two months after my purchase, Hurricane Irma hit Florida. My electricity went out for a week. I plugged it into my cave, started the generator outside, and suddenly a room in my house was livable again. Unless you live in Florida, you have no idea what true humid heat is. Not only is it wickedly hot, but the humidity is making everything in your house damp. This little device worked day and night, seven days a week, for a whole week, cooling this small space nicely. Why not five stars? Well, loud, like a hair dryer on low. It also keeps the room cool but not cold. He battled the Florida heat. Would I buy it again? Yes, but I'd probably go with the 10,000 BTU unit if they offered it to keep things a little cooler. Delivery was another plus. It was quick and the device itself was packaged very well. There are no dents or damage.
