Review on Thermostat 807252T2 8M0109441 8M0091470 Replacement by Chris Bailey

Need a thinner cork/rubber gasket

This keeps my 2006 Mercruiser 3.0L at about 170 degrees Fahrenheit when running water from a garden hose. Unfortunately the o-ring under the thermostat does not fit on these later inline 4 cylinder models. 3.0L It lifts the plastic sleeve of the thermostat housing clearly above the sealing surface of the metal cover and the cover gasket. With too much torque on the two cover screws, it was still not possible to seal under the metal cover. I ended up ordering the correct flat cork-rubber gasket and discarding the thick O-ring.

Pros
  • Aftermarket thermostat direct replacement for your marine engine
Cons
  • old
