It was very strong but the locking piece wouldn't open so my husband had to take it off. Not easy to step over when you are 5'3" tall, we are seniors and it was very frustrating trying to unlock the locking element. I have a companion puppy that helps me. I love him and he is smart , but he isn't housebroken yet so we keep him in one of the ensuite bedrooms and put puppy pads in there which he uses until we let him out of the room then he wets every rug we have I can walk over it no problem rise. When he grows up he will only be 12 to 14 inches tall. If you know such a small gate please reply me. Thanks B. Fox.
