It only took me about 5 minutes between opening the box, setting it up and connecting it. Very simple, and the app allows you not to reach for your TV (except for initial pairing) to have the lights do what you want. I didn't know how I would like them, but they add a bit of atmosphere to the room. I definitely recommend this set, especially if you're not sure if you're going to like it or if you find the camera difficult to use.
