Sturdy bag with few flaws

This is a really solid bag and I'm immediately happy with it. When you receive it it appears quite small at first but can expand amazingly and had no problem accommodating all of my stuff. The solid construction feels pretty solid, and the straps themselves are quite comfortable and easy to adjust. However, the bag has two small blemishes that upset the star. First, it's lightning. In my old Travelpro bag that I'm replacing, each zip track contains two zippers so you can keep the bag closed by zipping the top for easy access. Plus, with two zippers, you have spares in case one breaks. However, on this bag, each zip track, with the exception of the back pocket, contains only one zip, meaning you MUST zip the bottom right corner to close the bag. A small complaint but a second zip would be welcome. The second complaint is about the straps. The straps attach to the top of the bag with no more than two sewn strips of fabric. Of course the fabric is durable and the Travelpro stitching is great (my previous bag has lasted me a DECADE of daily use and 9 years ago it hasn't ripped a single stitch) so I'm sure it will last for years to come. , but this is a clear design flaw that will shorten its lifespan. However, this is definitely a very good bag. The construction and design are solid and there's plenty of room for your odds and ends. I definitely recommend this bag to anyone looking for an inexpensive and durable backpack for everyday use.
