Review on πŸ‘ž ECCO Illinois Slip Loafer 11-11.5 Men's Shoes: Comfort and Style Combined by Nick Grays

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Made in China. I don't need Ekko anymore.

Now made in China. I was hoping that shoes with this particular sole would still be homemade, but they aren't AND the cost remains the same. Not cool Ekko. I have a pair of shoes with a different apron from Ecco that have lasted many years and have a partially stitched last that was NOT made in China, which I really like. The sole is not formal and the shoe should not be worn as such but is great for walking all day when it's raining or snowing etc. They are great if you want to look good but still have a comfortable shoe want to have. Just don't wear them with a formal suit. The leather doesn't feel as harsh and they are lighter than my old Eccos, which I wasn't expecting at all. I bought these once at over 1/2 off so I guess I'll keep them to myself and wear them in wet weather but I was hoping for more. Back to AE for me.

Pros
  • Leather upper
Cons
  • Expensive insurance
