Works fine once installed. BUT I wish I had paid more attention to the electrical connections. On this unit, the electrical connection studs ALSO serve as mounting bracket studs. It has a three hole metal bracket insulated with small black rubber grommets that should hold the sensor firmly to the panel it is mounted in. Trouble is, if those jacks ever poke through that bracket, it could cause a direct short. And this thing, of course, connects to the engine's electrical system to power it. So unless it is protected by a fuse (as it should be), a short circuit can also destroy the entire electrical system of the motor. Other sensors either have an entirely separate bundle of three wires sticking out from the back for plus and minus. & sensor connections, or use three 1/4" male connectors for this purpose. This is the only one I see that combines electrical connections with a mechanical support bracket. I installed it but completely ruled out that bracket due to the hole which I fitted it into was already pressed firmly and held it in place with some glue.Without a mount I feel the chance of a short is very small so I got it working but I wish I had noticed it and bought another caliber.
