Bought this to install with my new Pioneer 1500NEX. It came with a USB cable but I wanted more of the original look. I installed it on the underside of my car's center console. It looks pretty OEM to be honest. I would have preferred a slightly longer cable. It worked, but if I had a different car I don't think that length would have worked. I know they sell a 6 inch version but I believe with Android Auto and AppleCarplay they limit the length of the cable. So 6 inches would be too long plus my cable. I HOPE the manufacturer does this on the USB-C end and not the larger USB port. Overall I've tested with Android Auto and Apple Carplay on my head unit and both work great. It's quite difficult to insert and remove the cable from the connector, so it's likely to loosen over time. and not, to be honest, so the stars aren't removed. The manufacturer's task would be to enable the use of a flip cover when using a holder. At the moment you cannot use the flip cover with its holder, as the round USB part will not snap into the holder.
