Our dish hopper has a program bug. When we access YouTube via Hopper, the TOSLINK optical audio is disabled, but the onboard HDMI audio still works. We looped the Hopper's HDMI output through a Newcare HDMI 2.0b audio extractor and powered our audio amplifier with optical S/PDIF. Problem solved. The box is transparent with no side effects.
