Fits in length as expected but may be tight for overweight children. The only thing to watch out for is the fabric. It doesn't stretch at all (with an elastic band at the back for easy on and off). Reminds me of a thin windbreaker or even an umbrella. The benefit is that it dries instantly and you can wipe up most spills. It also appears to be fade resistant. The downside is that the fabric doesn't breathe well. My daughter felt uncomfortable on a particularly wet day compared to cotton clothes.
