Shade wasn't 36 inches wide. It's 34. You can't turn the rope from right to left. Ease of installation. The wall mount was a solid piece of metal and the rest of the pieces were thin plastic. The central core is a good strong metal. The lampshade is made of thick plastic and does not let any light through. The instructions didn't help. The two plastic ends are larger than the hole so you have to tap your hand lightly and the plastic will shave off. Provides a good fit but instructions should explain. Had to send them back as they are too small for my window.
