My 2 year old uses them in the bathroom. They color well when the chalk is wet (if you give it to it it will float in the bath for the rest of the bath), but when it's time to drain the bath, little bits of chalk remain in it, almost like colored dust. The bottom of the tub which I have to push to the drain when the water drains is a pain. They also break out of the holder quite easily. I keep them low just long enough to paint with the tip sticking out so it's less likely to break, but still each color only lasted a few baths before falling out and having to be thrown away.
