Review on MB Stone Care Granite Polish by Linda Floyd

Revainrating 5 out of 5

The amazing results on granite are worth every penny!

Wow, this thing is amazing. I've always found my countertops to look a bit dull, even right after installation. One spot in particular looked bad after the chip was repaired, and it looked like they had damaged the polish around it. After playing around with a few granite workshops I decided to take matters into my own hands, looked up some guides on polishing granite, ordered some of those MB 20's, a pigskin pad and bought a cheap Harbor Frieight variable speed polisher. I have to admit I was nervous about using a power tool on my countertops so I first tried hand polishing them with the MB 20 but got no results. It took me a little time to get used to the polisher, I quit too soon and didn't see any results, but the key is not to be afraid to run this stuff dry. First it will be wet, but then it will dry, and then the magic will happen. I pretty much settled on the polisher's lowest setting, which was 600 rpm. I also did this a second time using the same pig hair pad and a few water jets to remove some of the residual haze from the MB 20. Honestly, I never thought my countertops could look this good! They are much shinier than when they were first installed and that one bad spot from the chip repair is gone now (after hand polishing methods and other products). I am so pleased and now really in love with my granite!
