Review on 🐾 Convenient and Efficient: Ideal Pet Products Ruff-Weather Pet Door Wall Kit, Medium by Tiffany Staley

Revainrating 5 out of 5

YOU CAN'T BEAT THIS FOR THE PRICE!

I bought a medium sized pet door and wall bellows kit to replace another that was installed in our home when it was built 5 years ago. This is superior to the previously installed one. We get enough bad weather up here in Washington state. A few weeks ago, an independent job finding a crawl space showed me that an old pet door was letting the weather seep into the stud wall. I had to act urgently to get everything going again. I ended up replacing the old door with this one, and given the same (or worse) weather this year that I've seen in the state since 1956 (IMO), I ran out of water. nobody. Lightning. through the outer valve when the dog(s) are not wearing it on their paws. And then just evaporate the trace or wipe with a paper towel. The original door was installed on the west side of the house, so I installed that. in the same hole. I just had to change the hole. Most of the weather is from the west, and when the wind blew with the old door, rain, snow and sleet blew in. In fact, it got so bad I had to slide the plastic grommet door back into place to prevent rain or snow, didn't it? from blowing in. This defeats the entire purpose of a pet door. Close the door and effectively confine the pet. Haven't had to use the pressurized door yet, even though we're forecasting pretty bad weather for the next few days. Still, this door is head and shoulders above anything I've personally installed or have installed in the past. Just make sure you run a floor level along the top of the wall frame before drilling any holes. I did it because I knew better, but there are those who didn't and they end up with crooked attitudes. RE: The magnets on this door are strong, the frame is very stable and assembly is self-explanatory. Just make sure you have a good reciprocating saw, long drill bit, good drill bit, spirit level, tape measure and use the template provided. I also used a drywall knife (a utility knife), but again I preferred to use that instead of a saw for my first few cuts. it's just me Oh, and make sure your wife or partner runs an errand just before you start the install. It installs much faster. Take care and enjoy the door.
