The design of this soft book allows you to hang it from a playset, car seat or stroller with half (the other half is on the back) of the book in front of the open child at once. There are two teethers, but they also work as good handles/holds for small children who just need help grasping things. The touch add-ons are very nice, with tabs, textured pages, crumpled pages, and a mirror (not very sharp, more like a glossy reflector). The book closes with Velcro. There isn't much plot, just random phrases. I don't mind as the idea is to introduce baby to the colors and textures provided. You can also create your own story using the images and your own creativity and I'm sure your child won't mind listening. Another big plus is the machine washability. The only issue I've had with machine washing is that the crumpled material can pucker/bunch on the sides. This happened on the front page while the pages were fine. It may simply be that the crumpled material on the first side was not sewn properly. Otherwise a very good buy for the price and all the features.
