I needed a bag that would serve as my "personal item" on a United Airlines flight. For those of you who don't know, they're notoriously strict about what you can take with you when you buy a basic economy ticket. Although I didn't get a chance to check it in their measurement basket, no airline employee stopped me and I was able to carry it as well as a small carry-on and this bag fit perfectly under the seat. I was able to fit in a few outfits, a few flips with no problem -Flops and whatever else I needed fit. I like the inner mesh that you can zip onto part of the bag so it doesn't all fall out when you open it later. Use to quickly access things like cash or ID. The smaller section worked well, but personally I would have found it more comfortable with a different one. I liked the handles on the top so you could carry it that way instead of using the backpack straps, although most of the time I just used the top straps to close my folded hoodie. The continuous zip around 3 sides of the bag was also good - it could easily be packed like a suitcase. This is a nice little bag and makes a great small carry-on bag or "personal item" on flights. I also think it would make a great laptop bag although I didn't use one for that purpose.
