Came with a full container. Aside from the cheap Chinese packaging, everything else was amazing! I like that they filter out bad stuff and can be used in PVC pipes. Instead of using them in a standard system I use them in my PVC hydroponic system and they work great. Since I keep the fish in the bottom tank, I want to make sure that no larger debris gets into the pipes and clogs them. I use this filter and it works great! Love it!
