Review on Tifosi Tyrant 1.5 Dual Lens Reading Glasses: Superior Clarity and Comfort for Reading by Scott Wilson

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Great sunglasses that go best with reading glasses

Tifosi is highly regarded by cyclists and now I understand why. As soon as you unpack, you can see that these are high-quality sunglasses. And the thought that you don't have to pay a small fortune makes them worth the price alone. Yesterday I used them on a road bike for the first time and they worked fine for me. They fit my head perfectly. No glare, no fogging and the bifocal lenses are great for reading my bike computer. Frameless design leaves no blind spots. Edit: After doing some longer rides with it, I had to update my rating and deduct a star because of the narrow lenses and nose pads. the narrow lens becomes more visible. There is a big gap between the bottom of the lenses and my face. This lets in a lot of refracting sunlight. I have to tilt my head to read bike computers. After a few hours on the road, my eyes started to dry out because the wind was blowing behind the lenses. The design of the nose pads creates pressure points on the bridge of the nose. After a few hours of wearing, they become painful. Although Tifosi classifies them as cycling/running goggles, they are actually more suitable for wearing in the car. The top of the bifocals perfectly match the dashboard in my truck. I don't have to tilt my head one iota because the regular lens part covers the entire view of the windshield, while the bifocal part covers the dashboard and instruments.
