works, but slow charging

The solar panel (10 W) really works. Some important points to keep in mind: This is a very slow charge. As mentioned in many other reviews; It works to charge the battery, doesn't charge the phone very well. The charge is not constant enough, and when it is connected to the phone, the charging cycle goes on and off, draining the battery more than charging it. Works well when the phone is off while charging. He needs full sun. It doesn't work on a cloudy day. You can get some charge when it's partly cloudy, but it's very picky unless it's in direct sunlight. This does not work behind a (newer) window. I left my thoughts to my bedroom window, connected to an external battery. This works great as this window is over 20 years old and has no UV filtering. New windows will most likely have some sort of UV filter preventing this panel from working! I generally like the "free" electricity aspect, but in fact I've already paid 2,000 times more than I did for this thing. (At 10 cents per kWh, I won't get my bucks back this century) However, it can be a great tool in a pinch. Also, I'm a geek so I love the idea of having my own portable solar panel. ;)
