This is a well made quality device. As far as I can tell, it cleans the air well. However, it does not eliminate the smell of smoke. I expected to leave the device in a closed room that conforms to the device specification all night and morning without smelling smoke when entering the room. That's not the case, there is a residual smell, slight, of course not bad, but still. I bought it mainly because of the smoke smell. I have UV light, full airflow, and a roughly 10x13 space fits the specs well. So I turn it on when I'm smoking a pipe or cigar in my library and then leave it on all night. In the morning I turn off the ozonator and start it for 20 minutes with the door closed and everyone leaves the room. All traces have disappeared. So, in general, clarify what you mean by odor control. Smoke odor is not eliminated.
