Review on Chakir Turkish Linens Quality Absorbent by Josh Long

UPDATE: After a few weeks of repeated use and washing/drying, towels become more absorbent and no longer smear water on the shower door. The rating has been raised. ORIGINAL: After shoulder replacement surgery that limited my arm's range of motion, I bought these towels for three main reasons: (1) primarily for their water absorbency, (2) their size, which makes drying off my back easier. after showering and (3) its softness. They're exactly the size I need, they're very soft and have a lot of loft (my wife followed the original directions exactly), but they're absolutely terribly absorbent! They are NOT as absorbent as advertised. I doubt they contain synthetic fibers and not pure cotton. They don't do a good job of getting water out of me after I've showered and they just move the water around instead of sucking it up when I wipe the shower door. I would NOT get them again. Very disappointed.
