I bought this device because I thought I could add it to my cell phone plan and connect it remotely. I wanted at least one option. It turns out that this is not the case and cannot be connected for an additional fee. I wish I knew that before I bought it for just $100 below retail. Your best bet is to buy it from Best Buy or Apple so you know what you're getting.
