Not that easy to apply

Those of us who haven't tried to apply window film already, here's some tips: read the instructions and watch some videos on how to apply this stuff before attempting this project. Patience and attention to detail is a must. Don't apply if the window is in the heat of the sun. The window and the film has to stay wet during the application process. CLEAN THE WINDOW SURFACE THOROUGHLY. Also, keep the film from picking up anything, both when peeling off the clear backing, and when applying it to the window. Get the window WET before applying film, then wet the surface of the film before using the smoothing tool. Air fingers will appear under the film but stick with it and you can work them out. The trick is to push water from the center of the window under the film towards the edge. There seems to always be some water available to push around; just keep pushing the fingers of air out to the edge until they finally disappear. Be aware you are working with plastic which can mar if applied with too much energy.
