In other reviews they complained about the inability to tighten the base. My mirror came with instructions so I've attached a picture of it. In summary: you need to remove the foam insert at the bottom of the base. Then screw the base onto the shaft. Remove the sticker from the foam and reattach it to the base. Good quality mirror that I am satisfied with.
- Reliable STABILITY. The round mirror surface is 8 inches in diameter, which is larger than the normal 6 inches, allowing you to see the whole face better. Upgraded base with added weight to keep it stable even when shaken. Heavier than others, but still easy to move. An EVA overlay on the bottom helps prevent leaks and scratches.
