Altered strap is an altered watch

The Horween Quick Release leather strap proved perfect for a quick and easy strap change. I've learned that the quickest way to transform a watch is to simply change the strap. This particular strap is designed for large black case watches and the supplied strap is a good thickness for larger cases. I first attached the 12 o'clock strap (the one with the buckle) to the watch case for the watch I was assembling. (See image) It is perfect for 22mm cleats. When using a quick-release spring bar, all I had to do was twist the spring bar arm inward and insert it into the eyelet. By the way: When removing or putting on the bracelet, always work from the back of the watch. If you accidentally scratch the case with the head of the spring bar, it will not be visible when worn. I chose the Vintage Watch strap style because I wanted something that would look good enough on a dive watch to wear to the office or to work. (The current strap is real scuba rubber, and the optional strap is leather, but thinner.) It comes with a capped spring bar, and if you leave the red caps on you can use that in place of a thumbnail to pull back the quick release bar Let go of the lever, but turning it back is much easier. You get an extra webbing loop and an extra quick release spring bar. This is exactly what I need and works as advertised.
