A security mechanism is required. The straps are unreasonably short. MANDATORY RETURNS

I returned on July 6, 2021 and had to PAY for the 'privilege'! $8.01 just for returning a dangerous defective item not as described and undersized. Absolutely ridiculous. I'm already outraged by the lack of design, and that was the nail in the coffin. I have a four month old kitten and he loves going for walks outside. Whether she has permission to go or not. Thinking she would like to take me for a walk, I bought it after seeing it on a TikTok YouTube compilation. Spring. The construction makes a good and solid impression. It's well done. Not well designed. I will say that the ring holding the dome is impossible to flush and is a major source of concern. Belts are made for those who don't have breasts. I couldn't buckle my chest strap without a lot of effort, and I'm on my third cup. I'm 5ft 4in and 175lbs and the straps were almost too short. I struggled to put it on and take it off, feeling sorry for the cat the whole time. You can add a foot to the length of the shoulder straps and at least four inches to the chest and this CAN fit most adults. To be honest, I wasn't comfortable with it. A tall man with broad shoulders could never wear it. It was pretty breathable. On our first walk with him we walked about a half mile and I wasn't too hot but I definitely felt pain from the straps being pressed against my neck for a day or so. Let's move on to the lack of safety mechanism, which is downright dangerous. The zipper that separates the tent and dome areas is INSIDE the dome. That means, to turn it into a tent, you have to open the canopy or try to grab the zipper from the back. One kitty who loves to run away, I had to try to put my hand through the side pocket into the dome to open it, dodging teeth, claws and a grumpy cat in the process. And no cute grumpy cat. At the same time, I was horrified to discover that she had managed to cancel this part of the trip. This allowed her to access the mesh area and possibly the zip to open the back of the bag. It would make much more sense to block access to this zip through the elastic on the animal side and the zip pull tab in the tent area. It is the same with all lightning. It was a BIG mistake. Since she's a kitten and doesn't wear a collar (she removes it unfortunately), I didn't use the inner collar clip. To be honest I think it could have been longer - four inches more would be nice. My sitting cat (that's how she likes to ride) has a higher neck than a brace. In my experience, when you don't want to use it, it can easily be stored under a washable rug. I tucked her seat belt into the side pocket, which also fits a water bottle. The front D-rings are perfect for attaching a collapsible bowl which I definitely recommend as the dome does get a little warm inside. TL; DR: I cannot recommend this product to anyone over the age of ten or twelve as it doesn't fit them properly. If you want a six-year-old to carry a stuffed animal, it's a pretty expensive way to bend over, but you need it.
