Putting another rubber band on the front tractor bar caused the parts supplied to move apart a bit. Tightening the nut against the included bolt caused the nut to loosen (soft alloy and threads). When tightened further, the nut turned in the plastic (too soft). It will require gripping the nut with pliers to tighten the nut and bolt - and hopefully safe now. Not sure how long the mirror will stay in place given the vibrations from the tractor. I'm not sure why the country of origin or country of manufacture isn't published.
