OEM Satisfaction: Accessories and Supplies

I bought this in 2012 to replace one I lost while working in customer service. I used it with a Plantronics SupraPlus wideband binaural headset. This was an OEM replacement part and has worked very well for many years. It still works, but I won't need it much longer. These things aren't indestructible and prone to topological solitons (reverse winding), but heck, they're stretchy: they can easily go over 18 feet without taking anything off your desk. . I believe it comes with an RJ14 modular jack (4 pins on the part that plugs into the phone, not the headset) and I've included a picture for those interested. The connector design is nothing special, so it can break if mishandled. There's nothing that can't be fixed with duct tape, right? If you're not sure if it fits your headset, find out which headset you're using first. Don't try to work backwards with such things. I know there are also 4 pins on the part that connects to the headset, but it's definitely some sort of proprietary design that I can't say is compatible. All in all it was a very reliable product and well worth the money.

Pros
  • For use with select Avaya phones only. Check compatibility before ordering
Cons
  • Not the best
