Taupe is more like a camel color, and it's true to size, not needing a dust ruffle.
I love this bedspread. It's true to size, I purchased it in a queen. It's darker than a taupe, closer to a camel (dark) color. I tossed it in my dryer for a few minutes and it came out nearly wrinkle free, and odor free, too. (The wrinkles have relaxed more, just in the few days I've had it.) It's a nice medium weight quilt, and the bed is fast and easy to make up in the mornings. I wanted a quilt that didn't require a dust ruffle, and this is the ticket! I dont know yet if it will be durable or easy to clean, but I'm very happy with it so far.
