Review on 🧬 Coil Level for Pro Comp 62245 by William Bell

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Very pleased with the look

I bought a 2017 F250 and really wanted to fit another brand's leveling kit on it, but after talking to a few people I settled on the Pro Comp. 1 - lifetime warranty. 2 - reputation. 3 - Availability. Uptime was more of a reason to get it to be honest, the other one I was considering was on standby for 6-8 weeks. But I am very happy with the Pro Comp Kit. The instructions are simple and clear. Personally I prefer jacks to be flat with no back end sag and this kit gave me just that. I think the price is reasonable for what you get, the parts feel solid and like they will last a lifetime. I will add one thing to this kit that is not included - this is a bracket for moving the brake line. It's not very tight, but I'd be more comfortable loosening it up a bit. I think there's a reason another brand recommends this option. Let me put it this way, the Pro Comp prices are phenomenal for pretty much the same components - $180 for the alignment kit and $180 for the chainstay versus $250 and $230 for the same parts. Here's something you may or may not hear, but I STRONGLY recommend purchasing the Pro Comp Track Bracket #62687 https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B005OABY0G/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o05_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 when ordering a kit for alignment. Because of this I spoke to several people from local installers, friends to Pro Comp reps and they all told me I just need this alignment kit. NOT CORRECT. The front end will move about 3/4 inch toward the rider when you put the alignment kit on. Not a single one advised me to buy a tie rod bracket. I asked everyone how far their front had moved - everyone stuttered. and didn't answer, I immediately realized that they were either not looking too closely or they were just full of nonsense. That's because these guys have trucks with slightly off-center fronts, and they clearly aren't. Don't bother them but I'm a perfectionist and for the price of this truck I wanted it done right. in place (obviously it was a bit harder than just undoing a few screws, but it literally took me 30 minutes to put it all back together). Lower the jacks and what do you know - my tires are dead. I know some of you will say you don't need it, but I will always disagree. Even my daughter saw that the 3/4 inch was off center before I put this bracket on it. My truck drives absolutely straight. Without the mount it moved straight, but it was clearly visible that it was off center. Overall I am very happy with the quality, price and ease of installation. I'm sorry I didn't take a photo of the offset before adding the rail mount, but I doubt the photos will actually show the offset. I know I would regret not adding this to the level.
