Review on πŸ”₯ Enhanced Chef Twin Burner by Nick Palacio

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Notable things: (1) Both burners get very hot

Notable things: (1) Both burners get very hot and fast! (2) Compact size (so it doesn't get crowded) (3) It can still cook with large pots and cast iron pans. (4) Both burners can be used successfully at the same time. (5) Attractive. I've liked the device so far. Cons: (1) The left burner (after 11 months) now (mostly) doesn't heat at all like it's broken. Then it works randomly for the session. I suspect a wiring problem, but I don't know how to fix it. {I would give it fewer stars due to the left burner failure; but it seems that all 2 burner electric ranges that I have read in reviews end up with similar problems, even the most expensive ones. I'd say it's a troper by comparison, although I wish it lasted longer.} (2) As other reviews have said, ink printing of digital settings on dials as well as on-device printing. By itself, it is almost instantly erased by simply rubbing it with a sponge. *Solution*: After reading previous reviews I used clear nail polish to get the numbers etc. Just remember to *apply* the polish, don't wipe/"draw" as the wiping/painting may smudge the ink print as you do this. (3) there is no way to "lift" or "tilt" the burner itself even slightly to get under it and regularly clean the metal pan/spill catcher underneath; since it is screwed from the middle. That said, it's always the awkward process of cleaning under the stovetop after cooking (squeezing cleaning sponges underneath and scratching my fingers when I try to scrub). But everything worked out in the end (until the left burner failed in 11 months).

Pros
  • Like all before
Cons
  • Definitely bad product
