For the money this unit has better sound reproduction from all directions No heavy bass, no tinny highs - better sound from all sides I had a Bose Minilink? Fine, well made, but not the stuff to build enough bass. I also had an XB40 - too much sound - easy to get loud but very difficult to get a balanced sound - just enough bass and enough treble, it's called "Balance". The feature that really makes it stand out is the surround sound and the RGB LEDs - the lights are nice, but you don't realize they're there after a while. Great sound without sacrificing sound due to other features, which by the way are pretty important to enable IP rating.
