The main reason I bought this was so I can read broken and garbled barcodes and IT WORKS. My previous scanner, a regular old corded 1D scanner, had a lot of trouble reading the barcodes I had to scan, which often contained scanner generated junk (long gray lines on the page) or were blurry and sometimes completely broken than anything was typed hand. It just works. I can even scan barcodes from my monitor (it takes a second to get the correct spacing but it really works). The battery lasts about two weeks via Bluetooth and seems to charge fairly quickly. I like the fact that it's wireless and doesn't add clutter to my desk. If for some reason this one stops working I will definitely buy another one - it has made my life so much easier!
