Light brown actually medium brown to dark brown. Beautiful color, no copper (red). Those with olive or golden beige skin can wear it as an eyebrow pencil. The main complaint is that the thread tension isn't the greatest, so I just used a thick sharpener to make a new point. The texture of the pencil is slightly creamy, not too soft, with just enough firmness to draw on clean brows. Great, because the pencils are about 2 inches longer than the average eyeliner, or the same length as a long wet and wild black eyeliner.
