These shock absorbers are EXCELLENT! Much larger than the original and offers a great ride for jeeps. Just a few dollars more than "regular" shock absorbers and a lot more for heavy use. RECOMMENDED UPDATE 2016. These dampers are still excellent after several months of use. Our XJ is more like a jeep again! Spend a few bucks more on "regular models" as they are a perfect replacement and are significantly larger. On an XJ Jeep with factory welded nuts and bolts, installation can be a nightmare. Google the topic and read, they will almost certainly break if removed. When ordering shock absorbers, buy new high-quality bolts and nuts (class 8). It's only a few dollars and you're going to need it. We also recommend using LockTite to protect against rust.
