Review on ๐Ÿ“น Versatile Overhead Video Stand Phone Mount: Perfect for Baking, Crafting, Demo Drawing, Sketching, Recording, Live Streaming, and Online Teaching - Acetaken 33'' by Jake Hillyer

Revainrating 3 out of 5

I was hoping for more horizontal flexibility

Unfortunately the ball joint design only allows the phone clip to rotate no more than 45 degrees around the ball joint (the 360 degrees they claim is different from how I interpreted it) and how the connection to the rest of the arm at the other end of the ball joint only allows up/down movement, so 45 degrees of the ball joint is the maximum that can be angled to the left or right. I was hoping to mount it on a side table and position it in front of me at a 90 degree angle to my head, but the lack of secondary horizontal movement meant I had to shift and look sideways to compensate. another 45 degrees not provided by the mount (which can be bad for my posture with prolonged use). I'll do for now, but I think I'll have to choose a different product for my current seating arrangement. . until then i will probably bring another surface to install it, but it is not optimal in the long run. Aside from that missing feature, which is specific to my situation, the parts feel solid and well-made, and are great for people who want a predominantly front-facing or up/down mount.

Pros
  • Rods and stands
Cons
  • Not as thick as other picks
